The jam was first performed in Macon Georgia around May 1969. Grateful pulled into Nazareth Atlanta May 7, 1970. Their equipment didn't. So the Allman's lent equipment for the show. There was also segue into will the circle be unbroken, the Grateful Dead who referenced Donovan's song around the same time.
